Fiddlers Ferry Power Station, Cheshire, England
Fiddler’s Ferry power station was a major 1,989 MW coal-fired station on the River Mersey in Cheshire, England, that operated from 1971 to 2020.
Owned by SSE Thermal, it was decommissioned to support the UK’s net-zero transition and is currently undergoing demolition and redevelopment into a mixed-use site.
The demolition is being carried out in a number of phases, designed to ensure best cash flow for the client and allowing initial remediation and infrastructure works to commence alongside the ongoing demolition works.
